# User Manual

#### <span style="color: rgb(35, 111, 161);">**<span class="s1">General</span>**</span>

**StarLine MS-06BT** wireless magnetic sensor is designed for use with StarLine security systems. It allows to perform reliable security perimeter for motor homes, vans, trucks, garages, secure external luggage carriers and other compartments with no need in wire connection mounting. MS-06BT operates via standard Bluetooth Smart 2.4GHz radio protocol and can be easily connected to StarLine main units with integrated BLE. Integrated reed switch helps to secure doors, windows, sunroofs from unauthorized access in guard mode. 3D accelerometer detects motion in secured zone and activates alarm. Built-in temperature sensor allows to monitor temperature in the food, water and gas compartments, and other engineering sections. Internal battery provides up to 2 years stand alone operation, depending on exploitation and climatic specifics.

The sensor housing is not waterproof. Do not install the wireless sensor outwardly without additional moisture and dust protection. Do not install the sensor in engine compartment and on transmission, suspension and exhaust system parts. Fix the sensor firmly on the smooth, clean and dry surface with included glue tape. Fix the magnetic unit on the opening surface of a door, window in the same flat as sensor unit. The triangle marks on the sensor unit and magnetic unit should be placed towards each other. The max distance between main unit and magnetic unit in the closed position should be within 12 mm.

**<span class="s1">Note!</span>** The sensor unit comes from factory in transport power saving mode (inactive). It’s indicated with green, red and yellow LED flashes on button pressing. Press the button several times to switch it into regular mode. Switching will be confirmed with green flashes on each further pressing.

#### <span style="color: rgb(35, 111, 161);">**Pairing with alarm main unit**</span>

1. switch the alarm system main unit into Device registration mode (read StarLine security system manual)
2. open the sensor unit housing and remove battery from holder on circuit board
3. press and hold the button on circuit board and insert battery in holder. LED on board will light up Red
4. release the button and make sure the presence of serial flashing LED Red within 10 sec.
5. successful pairing will be confirmed by sensor LED one Green flash, Valet button LED double flash and double siren sound. If sensor is not registered, LED will light up Red
6. repeat steps 2-5 for all the sensors to be installed

#### <span style="color: rgb(35, 111, 161);">**Firmware updating**</span>

1. launch StarLine Master software PC or mobile version. Connect external BLE programmer or enable embedded Bluetooth adapter (should support Bluetooth Smart 4.2 and above)
2. open the sensor unit housing and remove battery from holder on circuit board
3. press and hold the button on circuit board and insert battery in holder. LED on board will light up Red
4. keep holding the button until LED turns from Red to Orange. Then release the button
5. check if sensor is detected and appeared on StarLine Master screen. Click Update
6. wait firmware updating finish and the loading progress bar disappear. Updating complete

#### <span style="color: rgb(35, 111, 161);">**Environmental reference**</span>

In the end of exploitation period the sensor must be disposed same as any old and damaged electric and electronic equipment. Do not dispose electronic and electric devices with normal household waste.

Or sensor can be disposed along with an old utilized vehicle, no need remove it in this case. Individual packing can be recycled and disposed in your local waste collecting system.
